I recently worked with Alex C. and Sarah P. regarding custody documents and they were both wonderful—warm, prompt, efficient and pleasant in a way legal affairs rarely are. Their front desk staff is also kind, courteous and competent which was reflective of the service I received once I became a client. Takeaway: Fast, friendly, comforting. Money well spent. My timeline was respected. In my case, time was of the essence—and as busy as they must be, Sarah simply handled it and I didn’t feel that she was preoccupied with other files that took precedence over mine. Their office aesthetic was also aligned with the atmosphere they curated. It was all balanced and seamless. Really impressed. Call them.

I couldn't be more grateful to the person who referred me to Spunt and Carin. I consistently found the quality of the services I was offered by this legal team exceptional. I came to them with what I thought was a difficult case as it involved cross border issues and Quebec marriage laws which are complicated. From the beginning to the end they provided well informed guidance, an ability to understand complicated and nuanced information quickly, unusually perceptive and empathic concern, excellent communication and listening skills, ability to invite and engage the client in creative problem solving, quick turn around and responses to questions or concerns, ability to educate the client as decisions were made and a concern for the financial costs which the client had to bear. Regarding the management of expenses, the team was transparent about the costs and used a tiered system such that you only paid for the services of the most expensive personnel when deemed necessary. In spite of this team's standing as one of the best in Montreal, I found the cost for their service quite reasonable especially when the quality of the service is considered. Bottom line, they were knowledgeable, intelligent (both intellectually and emotionally), efficient and compassionate. I have not experienced this quality of legal care in my long life. I would recommend them without qualification. Most of my interactions were with Sheri Spunt and particularly Sarah Pimienta. My impressions of the firm were based primarily on these two women and I wanted credit to be given where credit is due. That not withstanding, I imagine there is a culture in the firm which promotes and facilitates their exemplary professional behavior.

I hired the services of Spunt & Carin because my ex-husband was not respecting the terms of our divorce, which were clearly outlined in our judgment of divorce. I wish I had known about Spunt & Carin during my divorce proceedings, as I went through two lawyers at that time and had not experienced the level of compassion, professionalism, commitment, and dedication that I received at Spunt & Carin, qualities that should be the standard when hiring legal services. I began with a consultation with Me Spunt, but my case was mainly handled by Me Ellingsen. In addition to her compassion and dedication, she always kept me informed of every step, and stayed consistently connected. She was also very caring and truly understood what was important to me. Six years from the day I first served my ex-husband, and over two years since our divorce, I can finally say that I am able to put a very stressful chapter of my life to rest.
